VITICULTURE TRIALS

Confidence starts with field evidence

Bragato Research Institute conducts independent in-field viticulture trials in Marlborough, enabling product providers and winegrowers to make confident choices based on robust trial design.

Over the past five years, more than 40 viticulture trials have been completed. Each trial is customised to address specific research questions and is carried out by an experienced technical team, supported by BRI’s broader scientific expertise.

What we trial

Whether you’re looking at your product efficacy, making sure there won’t be any residual compounds in wine, or preparing a Spray Schedule Inclusion, we can trial a wide range of vineyard inputs over a wide range of measurements.

Why BRI

You get the convenience of off-site trials in Marlborough, delivered by an independent third party whose focus is scientific rigour and industry relevance. BRI is the operating arm of New Zealand Winegrowers’ research capability, giving you credibility in the sector.

Link vineyard outcomes to wine quality

Viticulture trials can be paired with Research Winery trials to evaluate effects on wine composition and quality, or to validate the absence of residues, all under controlled conditions.
