Our Agroecologist, Michelle Barry MSc. is clear that the health of the New Zealand wine industry is hugely dependent on the health of our soil and growing landscapes.
You may have noticed that something isn’t quite right – whether that be soil compaction, drop in yield, poor vine performance, drop in soil organic matter, water logging, run-off, increased inputs or simply declines in profitability. We’re here to help you get to the bottom of what’s causing that issue and identify any other factors that should be considered. There’s no ‘one solution fits all’ when it comes to soil health for your viticulture, horticulture, or even pastoral, system. We recognise that every vineyard and grower is different. How we do it
We work with winegrowers to identify the limiting factors within their production system. Whole system solutions to building soil health are generated by combining;
- landowner experience
- baseline monitoring of soil physical, biological and chemical parameters,
- desktop study,
- data analysis and visualisation.
Our recommendations are designed to achieve your objectives and align with your values and budgets.
